8/1 Alexander

Alexander graduated! 🎉

This little guy came to us with frustrations communicating with siblings and family members, with only 5 words in his repertoire. Alexander often used sign language to communicate “more” and “milk” with his mother, so his speech therapy was designed to let his strength shine. Early treatment focused on using sign language for Core words (help, want, eat, etc) to communicate wants and needs while verbal words were modeled. He quickly imitated and learned signs and verbal labels, gained confidence, and made wonderful progress with the treatment designed for him. Alexander is communicating in 4-word sentences, using a variety of vocabulary, and requesting/commenting whenever he wants to! 👏

Congratulations on your graduation, Alexander. We will miss that sweet smile! ❤️‍🩹
