Job Summary: The SLP-A will play a pivotal role in maximizing a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals in an established plan of care set forth by the SLP. The SLP-A is responsible for providing direct clinical service to prevent and treat speech, language, social communication and cognitive communication in individuals throughout the lifespan in accordance with the principles and practices of speech-language pathology and Harvest Health and Rehab policies and procedures. The SLP-A will also establish rapport with patients/families, staff, and physicians to maintain a positive working relationship.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and skills to care the the physical and developmental needs of patients across the lifespan
• Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations
• Compassion, empathy and positive attitude

Education:

• Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in the state of Indiana or able to obtain

Experience:

• A minimum of one year experience preferred
